Callie Williams is a doctorate prepared board certified pediatric nurse practitioner licensed in the state of Iowa with special certification for Pediatric Integrative Medicine from the American Pediatric Integrative Medicine Academy. She is completing Pediatric Functional Medicine fellowship through MAPS. Dr. Callie is married to Dave with three beautiful young children. She is highly motivated to grow and learn with a passion to care for children while partnering with parents. Dr. Callie is the owner of Be Well Pediatrics, wearing many different hats. She has been incredibly humbled and grateful for the wonderful opportunity to serve and care for children at Be Well Pediatrics. She has a variety of experience working with children at the ARC & ChildServe with special healthcare needs. She has inpatient general pediatric, pediatric intensive care, and neonatal intensive care nursing experience. She spent time caring for children as a research hematology and oncology nurse. She had prior experience starting a pediatric primary care practice in rural Iowa. She continues to practice as a provider in Pediatric Emergency Department and as a Pediatric Hospitalist rounding on Inpatient Pediatrics and Newborn Nursery. 

Dr. Jennifer

 Dr. Jennifer is a doctorally-prepared double board certified Family Nurse Practitioner licensed in the state of Iowa. Dr. Jennifer is also a mother to three older children, Tarryn, Quentin, and Sienna. All of Dr. Jennifer's children have attended the Southeast Polk High School. She has been a Pleasant Hill resident for the last 20 years, this community has been her home. Dr. Jennifer shares our passion to partner with parents and children to provide a comprehensive integrative approach to wellness. She is passionate about identifying the root cause of health. Dr. Jennifer desires to shift from a reactive healthcare approach to prevention to achieve overall wellness. She has 20 years of nurse practitioner experience in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, ENT, Sleep Medicine, Family Medicine, Urgent Care, and On With Life. Dr. Jennifer also has experience in developing an Interdisciplinary Pediatric Weight Management Clinic. She is grateful to be joining the Be Well Pediatrics team and mission to partner with families for the wellness of children from an integrative care model.

Dr. Kandace

Dr. Kandace Bass is a board-certified pediatrician licensed in the state of Iowa. Her passion to care for children began at a young age. She began caring for children when she was 11 years old as a babysitter. Dr. Kandace pursued her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Illinois graduating summa cum laude. She then completed medical school at the University of Illinois and finished her pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She joins us with years of pediatric primary care experience. Dr. Kandace is excited to join Be Well Pediatrics to treat children with an all encompassing integrative approach for wellness. She loves to learn and partner with parents empowering them to care for their children. Dr. Kandace enjoys swing dancing with her husband Peter. In her free time, she likes to read, travel, play board games, and spend time with friends and family, especially her nieces and nephews.
